Hi,

Thank you for considering my campaign. The goal of SkyShield is simple: Use leading edge commercial UAV (drone) technology to fight the illegal poaching of endangered wildlife around the world. SkyShield will accomplish this by building and piloting UAVs capable of spotting and tracking poachers in national parks, and partnering with law enforcement/park rangers to disrupt poaching operations and gather evidence that can be used to help bring the poachers to justice.

We measure our success with two metrics: how many animals we help save and how many poachers we help convict. Ultimately, our vision at SkyShield is to create a sufficiently robust surveillance shield around as many national parks and preserves as possible so that we as a global community can finally end the senseless and inhumane slaughter of endangered wildlife who live there.

SkyShield is currently raising $10,000 for the purpose of developing a promotional video which will be used to raise development and operational funds. Development and operational funds will be raised for the following purposes:

1) Building UAVs capable of making sustained, undetectable flights over national parks around the world for the purposes of spotting poachers, recording their illegal activity, and relaying this information in real-time to relevant authorities (eg. park rangers) so that the poaching can be prevented and the poachers can be arrested and prosecuted.

2) Training pilots and engineering staff to operate the UAVs and support equipment (ie. data collection and communication with authorities).

3) Traveling to national parks worldwide to conduct SkyShield missions in partnership with local organizations and governments.

As a global citizen with a love and respect for nature, I'm determined to do whatever I can to help protect our endangered wildlife. The technology that we need to gain an advantage over poachers exists today, and I urge you to help me utilize this technology to fight and ultimately defeat the global scourge of illegal poaching.
