Zodiac Arresting Systems provided overrun protection and safety for commercial airports by working with the FAA to develop an EMAS (Engineered Material Arresting System) in the mid-1990s. It remains the world’s first and only EMAS that has safely stopped aircraft in real emergency overrun situations at commercial airports.
