The DP-5X Wasp is a small, powerful, autonomous VTOL UAV. It carries payloads of up to 100 lbs for 4.8 hours. The Wasp is designed for precision control, stable hover, and nap-of-earth flight in complex environments such as jungle, forest, rugged mountains, and urban settings.The Wasp weighs 240 lbs, and can be deployed by two people. It is designed for user-friendly waypoint navigation and simple, one-person operation. As a fully autonomous VTOL UAV, the Wasp can self-deploy and self-recover from unprepared sites — no runway or recovery equipment required.Operators can take advantage of multiple hard points (fore, aft, sides, and belly) on the Wasp to carry different kinds of payloads. The Wasp is modular and can fit into the bed of a humvee or 1-1/4-ton trailer. It also has a unique, variable center of gravity via an adjustable internal rail. With high payload capacity, autonomous precision flight, and modular design, the DP-5X Wasp allows you to configure the multi-mission UAV for your specific industry or application.

Payload Features
The DP-5X Wasp is a modular platform, with options for landing gear and payload mounts. It can carry 100 lbs payload, including multiple payloads in different configurations.

Typical payloads for the DP-5X Wasp include cameras, stereo vision, synthetic aperture radar, ultra wideband radar, LIDAR, EOIR, magnetometers, ground-penetrating radar, lasers and mapping packages, IMU, acoustic and ultrasonic sensors, secure communication relays and links, and other useful payloads.

Payloads can attach to external hard points at the midsection, underbelly, and other areas. EO/IR gimbals mount on a modular avionics rack. The Wasp is compatible with the Universal Payload Interface. DPI can also customize landing gear and payload mounts for your specific industry or application.
