Founded in 1964, AOPA-Austria serves 460 members and are active participants in the European Partner Services Program. A few of the services they provide are: membership credentials, advisory service, flight planning assistance, and a series of aviation related lectures. They also offer their members a ''Passenger Ticket'' which includes liability insurance and liability limitation in accordance with the Warsaw Agreement to protect pilots against passenger claims. The President of the Austrian FAA is Vice President of the Board of AOPA-Austria. AOPA-Austria's latest victory has been the considerable increase in the number of airfields that can be used for international flights with simplified customs and border police procedures.
